Health care providers in any setting encounter a variety of pulmonary conditions in the adult population.  The understanding of these conditions is essential to providing patients with thorough care.  With these conditions, there is a wide variety of pulmonary diagnostic tests and procedures that are performed.  It is necessary for health care providers to understand these tests so that the results can be integrated into patient care.

This course will discuss the pathophysiology and presentation of restrictive lung disease as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.  In addition it will review pulmonary diagnostic testing procedures.  The course will review the components and stages of pulmonary rehabilitation.  This course will leave health care providers with a greater understanding of pulmonary conditions, their presentation, how they are diagnosed and the management of these conditions.
